What are the reasons

most people are under the impression that vanilla extract is vanilla with some extra stuff in it when in reality vanilla extract is more or less alcohol that happens to have some vanilla in it also and the reason it tastes so bad is because it turns out most people don’t like the taste of what is the equivalent to a really shitty 80 proof vodka
